托福語(yǔ)法:this These That Those
這幾個(gè)詞用做形容詞時(shí)，要與所修飾的名詞在數(shù)上一致。它們是獨(dú)一隨名詞的數(shù)的變化而變化的形容詞。
This beach was quite empty last year．
去年這個(gè)海灘很空蕩。
This exhibition will be open until the end of May．
這次展覽會(huì)要開(kāi)到5月底。
These people come from that hotel over there．
這些人是從那邊那個(gè)飯店來(lái)的。
What does that notice say？
那個(gè)通知說(shuō)什么？
That exhibition closed a month ago．
那個(gè)展覽一個(gè)月前就閉幕了。
He was dismissed on the 13th．That night the factory went on fire．
他在13號(hào)被解雇。那天晚上工廠失火了。
Do you see those birds at the top of the tree？
你看到樹(shù)梢上的那些鳥(niǎo)了嗎？
有時(shí)為了表示強(qiáng)調(diào)，用this/these/that/those+名詞+of＋your/hers等或Ann’s等這一結(jié)構(gòu)，而不用 your/her等＋名詞結(jié)構(gòu)：
This diet of mine/My diet isn’t having much effect．
我節(jié)食的方法效果不大。
That car of Ann’s/Ann’s car is always breaking down．
安的那輛車(chē)?yán)弦獕摹?br/>
由這樣的短語(yǔ)構(gòu)成的話通常具有“令人不滿(mǎn)”的貶義，但不一定總是這樣。
B this/these/，that/those用做代詞：
This is my umbrella．That’s yours．
這把傘是我的。那是你的。
These are the old classrooms． Those are the new ones．
這些是舊教室。那些是新的。
-Who’s that（man over there）？
-That’s Tom Jones．
-那（邊的那個(gè)男人）是誰(shuí)？
-那是湯姆·瓊斯。
播送完一個(gè)節(jié)目時(shí)說(shuō)：
That was the concerto in C minor by Vivaldi．
剛剛播送的是維瓦爾迪作曲的C小調(diào)協(xié)奏曲。
